Off grid camp

Go off grid on Broughton’s rolling chalk downs, with a communal tipi, camp kitchen, hot showers, acres of open space, plus huge skies perfect for sunsets & stargazing.

Everyone who comes up here falls in love with the site, it’s a huge space which over the years we’ve used for many a party & the odd mini festival. Now our off grid camp is all yours to book for the big camping get together of the summer. Firewood included.

£20 p/person p/night

For groups of up to 30

£10 for under 16’s
Well behaved dogs can come free

For groups of less than 15 adults we ask for £300 per night for the whole site

THE SITE

Our Off Grid Group Camp is hidden away up on Broughton’s rolling chalk downs with stunning views over the valley. The site is completely private, has easy road access & ample on site parking.

CAMP FACILITIES

You’ll have exclusive use of the communal tipi, which was built & crafted here at the farm by our very own Yurt-Master Stephen using traditional techniques & local materials – the tipi’s spruce poles were even harvested from our neighbour’s farm (with their permission, obviously). We’ve set the tipi up in the customary way with the door facing east, keeping out the wind & welcoming in the morning sun.

You’ll also have an off grid camp kitchen, a sheltered space with worktops to for you to put your camping stoves, prep food, & keep your cool boxes out of the sun.

There’s a BBQ for you, outdoor seating & a fire bowl for evening campfires. Inside our converted horse box there’s a hot shower & washroom – always good to know there’s a nice hot shower waiting for you back at camp. There’s another shower (for a cooler wash), compost toilets & drinking water.

We also provide your group an evening’s supply of sustainably coppiced firewood, which will be replenished each night you stay.

GOOD TO KNOW

EXTRAS
If you run out of firewood, you can buy more from us to top up your supplies. We also have BBQ Charcoal for sale & can supply your group with veg boxes, BBQ boxes & other sustainable produce sourced locally in the village. Check our Extras page to find out more.

LEAVE NO TRACE
We want to keep Ark Buffalo as low impact as possible, so we operate a leave no trace policy. The £50 deposit we ask to secure your booking will be reimbursed to you if your group leaves the site just as you found it, including using the correct recycling points provided.

COVID CANCELLATIONS
For ease of mind, we’ve made your deposit fully refundable should official COVID restrictions change your plans.
